GUIDELINES FOR DOWNLOADING COURSES, LAWS AND RULES

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

To read, download and print a Signet Internet Course or the Maine Law and Rules your computer must have the following resources:
- Computer: Windows or Macintosh with approximately 500K of available disk capacity.
- Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, or Netscape 4.0 or higher.
- Printer: Windows or Macintosh compatible laser or inkjet printer with a resolution of 300dpi or higher.
- Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher. If you do not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, the Reader software can be downloaded from the Adobe Website by clicking the Acrobat Reader link on the Course Page.

TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS YOUR MAY ENCOUNTER

UNABLE TO OPEN ACROBAT READER

Possible Reasons:

- Acrobat Reader is not available on your computer. Install Acrobat Reader by clicking the 'Acrobat Reader' link on our Main Page.

- Incomplete or unsuccessful download of the Acrobat Reader. Refer to the 'Acrobat Reader' link on our Main Page for information regarding installation of the Acrobat Reader.

- Insufficient system resources. Refer to above information regarding system requirements.

PRINTER PROBLEMS

If you experience problems when attempting to print a PDF file, the likely cause is insufficient memory in either your computer or your printer. Using your print command reduce the number of pages selected for printing. For example try printing pages 1-5, then 6-10, then 11-15, etc. For some computers and printers it may be necessary to print a single page at a time.
